Lovely to drop by Glenwood Day Care Centre in Castlemilk yesterday with Councillor Carson to speak with relatives of people who use the service and staff. It was great to hear stories about the impact the service has on people's lives and to pick up some casework too.

Loved getting along to Friends of Linn Park's new polycrub yesterday. Thanks to the volunteers of the Friends of group a massive difference has been made to the land already.

Two weekends and two Christmas markets in Castlemilk, first at the Braes last week then at the Birgidale this week. Good to see new and familiar faces at busy events, including a visit from a very special guest...

Feeling festive after a day packed with Christmas events, including Carmunnock's Christmas Festival, the Castlemilk Gardening Association's Christmas sale, and the debut performance of the Just Sing choir in King's Park. Heading home with cakes, Christmas cards and casework.

Beautiful Christmas tree lights switch on in Carmunnock last night and a great turnout despite the rain.

Thank you to everyone who organised the switch on and the much appreciated mince pies and mulled wine afterwards.

After receiving worrying reports of shoplifting from residents, Cllr Carson and I have written to Sainsbury's urging them to employ a security guard at their Muirend store. Thanks to Nicole Mitchell and @glasgowtimes.bsky.social for covering the story.

Great way to spend an afternoon yesterday listening to five intriguing Micro Talks and getting the chance to give my own six minutes on Innerpeffray Library.

Thank you to the organisers for the latest in an entertaining series - looking forward to the next event on 18 January!
