💯 and you know, other topics like the abuse of trans people. I left the UK because of brexit and am vindicated in that decision. But I am the unreasonable one. It is an eye opening thing to live in a country that decolonized itself though. Got way more than a better place to live. Also an education.

Anyway I am the "difficult" one on this subject (and others) because I call it what it is. And I think regularly about how whiteness is policed by "politeness" and it's absolute bullshit. But it's very hard to get another white person to have that conversation. They really do not want to.

I have asked and not got a good enough answer, but it's always made clear to me that when I call brexit voters racist it's *me* that's being unreasonable. And that I'm supposed to understand that it's not supposed to apply to me but if I call out that it's wealth and whiteness the subject is changed
