Ya, the whole reason for doing the Last of Us Part 1 project was to train up new people, who then got assigned to the multiplayer project that then got canceled. So they spent all that time training a bunch of people who they then let go. Wasted effort.

Yea, I think the issue comes from the difficulty of balancing blocks/parries/counters in a way that skilled players can't trivialize game content but doesn't punish players with less perfect timing skills. If your initial response is to just to make it less fair, revisit the white board!
