There's no single "correct" placement for your jeans, as much depends on the aesthetic you're going for. I personally like Buck Mason's "full saddle" cut for a middle-of-the-road jean (not too skinny, not too full, not too low, not too high). Gustin's vintage 1968 cut is also good and sub $100.
