1st Squad’s Sarge and the BAR team, will do a full family portrait once varnish has dried hopefully. My first 28mils painted on a looong time. Really happy with them, warts an all.

In more appropriate news for this account- I had my first game of Chain of Command at the club yesterday, fantastic table to play on, especially considering it was his first time hosting a game. Really enjoyed and things started to click by the end. Definitely my default WW2 set now.

A slow month or so on the mjnis front, but my guitar related got a bit of inspiration from seeing this chap and his buds in live Villa Park. And yes they nailed it. Not minis related but bucket list item ticked off🎸🎸

Lovely day gaming at Legionary, THIS is why it’s worth joining a club. Unfortunately cut short due to youngest needing a trip to a+e! No panic, she’s in much better shape than I suspect the allied line is by now😁

Not the end but the end of the beginning! Of the the legions starter box that is. Imperial fists tactical detachment with heavy support, assault and terminator attachments. I’ve learnt I can’t yet get a decent yellow, but I like the battered look. Now, the titan sat in primer is scaring me tbh 😉

So yeah, working away on some Legions stuff in the background, but my youngest has quietly been knocking out the park with this Easter bunny. ❤️All acrylics, smooth application and a steady hand, good effort, better than my Imperial shoulder pads😁

Nearly forgot did some of the baddies as well earlier in the week, know what colour everything in the starter box will be now so time go full on heresy for a bit. A 28mm Tommy will be a relief when I get back to it though!

Mostly Pre Grimdark epic stuff on the bench recently. Just finished this Leman Russ squadron and couple of Heavy walkers and Ogryns, trialling colour schemes and getting used to speed paints.
(Ogryns DID NOT look like that last time I played.) Overall pretty happy for tabletop level.

Some success, some failure, a whole lot of learning. Happy with the speed paint and conventional mix for the ECW unit, happy with the union troops more traditional methods. All good for the tabletop and this makes my output 4x more than last year. The epic predators are just a disaster however🤬

First post: first minis complete of 25 and my return to the hobby. Tiny ships you wouldn’t want to bump into on a dark night off Guadalcanal. (To clarify, not teeny tiny, that would be Navwar or GHQ)
