Everyone should go watch John Oliver's expose on Sinclair Broadcasting last year. Sinclair has been buying up ABC stations and are definitely complicit in this decision.

I want to congratulate THR for hiring David Canfield and giving @rilaws.bsky.social some reviewing gigs. They are both great and I have cancelled my Vanity Fair subscription with no reason to ever visit that site again.

If anyone but Jude Law was in this show, and if there was anything currently on that I was watching besides Blood of my Blood, I would run from this show based on your review. However, I can't run from Jude so I will give it a look with eyes wide open.

Sinclair is a very scary group and you only have to watch the local ABC (Sinclair owned station) 5:00 pm news and compare the lead stories to the local NBC DC station to see the difference.

The casting is remarkable; the chemistry excellent; the scenery spectacular and the plot compelling. It is worth a shot and much easier viewing than Families Like Ours which is quite good but I have to do it in small doses. Really, what else do you have to watch! 😂

I know that we will differ on this one - unlike most shows - but this summer has been such a wasteland of TV that positive reviews of a "steamy" prequel is about as exciting as it gets.....I know you will all have an open mind lol.....
