I was old enough to be aware of the Piss Christ hearings. I came to think that it was really interesting work, uniting the mundane world of bodies with the world of the spirit, using both to elevate each other. I still think that’s valid, but I guess all Serrano had in mind was “LOL. Peepee Jesus.”
