I wrote a terrible review only one time, which was for the property manager at a rental, my partner and I lived in close to 8 years ago. The guy was awful and I wanted to make sure no one thought he was a good landlord

Ah, yeah, it's not the liquid value of everything they own, it's also what they owe to other people. So Musk can't be a billionaire and at the same time, owe billions to others.

Because we value people based on their potential earnings if they were to sell everything they had, except stocks are immaterial. You could never actually sell all the stock you own because you would tank the company that stock belonged to.

"Please respectfully help me understand" can be interpreted as setting a condition: I will only engage if you explain in a way that I find respectful.
The problem is that what feels "respectful" to one person may feel silencing to another. This is not your fault, but it's worth knowing!

BTW, I don't think you mean anything this harsh by it, but asking one to "respectfully help" you sounds like they are being asked to consider your version of "respect" and to act accordingly. If you haven't already, you could read more about "tone policing" and "microaggressions" around this topic.

Future studies into the impacts of Trump-era policies could not be done if they focus on the impacts to marginalized groups. I've been thinking about this in the sense that we would be scrubbing a ton from history, and I know that's horrible, but that implication missed me.
