I had to upgrade from my 2017 phone, because my banking app informed me that it'll stop working soon, because the Android version on the phone is too old... So now I'm stuck with this huge slab of a phone that barely fits in my pocket, because no one apparently makes sensibly-sized phones anymore.

The thing about ol' Jimmy Beast here is that whenever I see a post of his somewhere, my first thought is "Who's paying him to say that?" He's basically productised his entire public-facing persona to the point, where I'm not even sure there's much of a real human left behind it all anymore.

It's quite telling how the justification for the use of genAI seems to virtually always be something pretty far-fetched or ultimately unrelated, like the comparison to middleware here. Not to mention the arguments tend to be put forth by the c-suite rather than the developers doing the actual work.

Not only do they seem to be more at ease with paedophilia, they struggle to spin this in a way that makes Trump come off like the Peak Masculine Alpha Male™ they try so hard to portray him as.

There are literally dozens -- if not hundreds -- of news stories and articles explaining how tariffs work and who pays them. It's not the media's fault you're not paying attention.

It's quite the experience to read something and find that you disagree with every single one of the author's statements. Literally the first sentence had me going, "nope" and the "nopes" just kept stacking as I read further.

I had to go check if it's real, because that is genuinely fucking CRAZY. The fact that he had to explicitly say how to pronounce it shows that he realised it's really fucking bad, but STILL went with it. What an absolute thumb of a person :D

Imagine wasting the time of developers and contributors for clout. I already loathed genAI and genAI apologists, but this whole thing added a pretty sizeable stack of fresh hatred on top of the pile.
