That makes sense. I forget the exact stain, but it was basically this difference times maybe 10 times. Our kiln is also firing to maybe cone 7.5, which probably contributed.

I've got a few other stained porcelain, and the blues look good. However, the one time I've had a red/pink one, it essentially all burned out in the kiln, not sure why. I may need to just add more stain instead of roughly 8% for that.

I didn't realize til I moved away from my hometown suburb how hostile it was to kids. I had to essentially be driven everywhere, and there was no bus system. Lack of independence as a kid is a terrible thing, and makes socializing so much harder.

Ban cars, unironically. For so many reasons.
