Oops I think I might have introduced the concept of death to my two year old. I showed him 1982’s the Snowman. The Snowman melts.
Should I keep going and show him the Red Balloon? The balloon gets popped by a group of bullies.
I was shown both at the same age. Might explain a few things…

I think the most Canadian thing I have ever done in my life was ditching the stroller for a sled.

This is great news.
Without a living donor my son chances of getting an organ in time were slim. Many need one from a deceased donor when living donor isn’t an option, like my neighbour who is dying in hospital while on the list right now.
This breakthrough makes everyone a universal donor

There’s nothing more cringe than telling a bunch of gen alphas that you got rizz and they are so Ohio….6 7.
Say it enough and there’s a chance you will never hear them say 6 7 again simply because you’re so sigma. But you’re gonna have to say it a lot until it becomes apart of you. 6 7

If Fords new bill goes through, watch as every year this province’s renters are forced to play a giant game of musical chairs with their housing. The ones left without a chair become homeless. But so glad everyone is enjoying his Reagan ad.

If I could get an Ocean between my family and Trump’s America I would.
If anyone has a list of English speaking countries that will accept immigrants with a child with a pre-existing condition let me know.

Upper class people taking over in my traditional working class neighborhood and talking about the litter, weeds and graffiti. Talking about beautification.
It makes me want to litter. Start tagging. Blow on all the dandelion seeds and wish their precious property values drop.

Personal observation, the kids are not alright. Have watched many grow up. so many are struggling as young adults. I saw the youngest millennial struggle to find their footing, most did. I am truly worried about my gen z kids. If we can pull the screens away from the alphas I think they’ll be ok.

I really thought the Canadian government’s response to fascism next door was going to be to hold on to our democracy with both hands instead it has been “I want some of that!”

Being dyslexic I have been shut out of working in Public Education, yet I have students because parents find public art teachers to be sub par. I know the arts are underfunded, but even if they were, they wouldn’t hire someone like me. Sadly children like me aren’t being connected to role models.

This morning’s streetcar went past a building with an open window. Clear as day somebody has a made a rack for their swords. I want to be friends with this person.

People really will get freaked out by the ingredients list on a jug of oat milk and then think they're only eating one chemical when they grill a steak.

Enjoy your heterocyclic amines and polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons!! Worse than anything in oat milk, but still not that bad.

This biological clock stuff that came up in politics . Is overstated. I say this as a woman who had a baby naturally at 44. However then someone will point out that my child was probably born with a birth defect because of my age. Which is not the case. But that’s what a lot of people assume.

Told the libs I was voting for them. They asked twice. I told the PP crew I was was voting for them. I did not. They have asked me six times, 4 times through text offered a lawn sign, shown up at my door for early voting to check in, and called today twice asking if I needed help getting out.

I felt maybe a bit unhinged, maybe a bit crazy for being pretty certain we going to see the full on return of the horrors of Nazis with our next door neighbours. Feeling less crazy today, but feeling like throwing up.

Getting ready to say bye to my cat companion of 15 years. He’s been a great kitty. He’s palliative, probably cancer, stage 2 kidney failure and thyroid issues and arthritis. I won’t let him suffer so it won’t be much longer. Best cat ever.

I miss being pregnant and getting an Ethiopian food cravings and being able to justify to my husband going to an Ethiopian bar by myself at 12 am to eat. Staff knew what was up.
Now I have to go home and suffer without Berbere.
