Every now and then something is so aggressively marketed that it is almost certain that it's terrible, I'm not saying it's definitely terrible, but Predator Badlands is getting a lot of marketing

Anyone think it's odd that Trump is gonna take $230mil from tax payers to cover legal fees for the crimes he committed right as he needs to fork up $250mil for the new ballroom he said tax payers wouldn't pay for? Not to mention to $20bil Argentina bail out whilst saying they can't afford medicare

Imagine you're playing RDR2 and you're in the final cutscene, it's emotional, you've put 100+ hours into these characters, and then an ad for some shaving company interrupts it, in fact every hour of those hundred hours has been interrupted by ads. That's seems to be the direction XBox want to go

Thanks Amy for the 2hour power cut on the day I specifically cleared to play Ghost of Yotei

My reaction to the end of Alien Earth was to roll my eyes and say out loud "oh for fucks sake" I'm not 100% certain that's the reaction they were going for

Today I learned that Australians have a tradition of drinking from their shoe, and I don't think I can look at my Aus friends the same again

Trump is absolutely right, Washington is a hive of scum and villainy. Well, at least everytime he's there it is, what with all his crimes

I don't get how Governments aren't in legislation overdrive over AI news. Grok has a mode allowing the creation of nudes with no restriction, Rod Stewart made a vid of Ozzy in heaven taking selfies with a pedo. Interviewing a school shooting victim. Yet if I wanna look at Reddit, I need ID

The AI recreation of a school shooting victim for an interview is horrifying both in how much it hurts and cheapen the underlying message, and that literally anyone thought it's okay www.theguardian.com/commentisfre...
When a journalist uses AI to interview a dead child, isn’t it time to ask what the boundaries should be? | Gaby Hinsliff
The virtual world can bring a kind of friendship and a kind of connection, even to the grieving. But it can also facilitate exploitation of very human needs, says Guardian columnist Gaby Hinsliff

Imagine having to start every sentence with 'I worked at Blizzard for 7 years' to try and come across as smart and qualified on software engineering topics instead of just actually being smart and qualified enough that your work speaks for itself, yikes

I cannot believe how roundly Elon Musk has proven himself to be a complete pillock, and how much harm he has done to Tesla's brand and value, and yet they still give him $30 billion worth of shares. These rich people on company boards really are just the biggest bunch of cretins in the world

Somewhere around $10million of US tax payer money has been spent on the teeny tiny peened tangerine fellon's visit to Scotland to promote his golf course... Thanks for the extra money in our economy I guess

Well holy shit, they actually pulled off a Superman movie that doesn't suck. Now we need to see if the new Fantastic Four movie is the first ever F4 that isn't terrible

Looking at what is going on with the Superman movie, the hardcore Zack Snyder fans are just as daft and a waste of time as his movies

Jurassic World Rebirth review - Universal were so preoccupied with whether they could make a sequel they didn't stop to think if they should. Also I never knew dinosaurs were so sneaky

Movie review - There are 2 movies with killer AIs out now, one is witty, self aware, and entertaining. The other is po faced, has a tedious first half, then tries to make biplanes fast and exciting. Despite what some people who are just mad it's not a horror think, I thought M3gan 2.0 was good fun
