I dont want violence to be the answer, but the further we allow this administration to go, the less likely a non violent resistance will be possible. At this point it feel like anything less than shutting down the entire nations economy wont work, and even that they’ll try and beat out of us.

right? getting the point of collective action and bargaining to non union folks is tough though, so many people don't or cant grasp the ideas conceptually.

the insecurity aspect i get. Epecially so many losing food security lately, makes it harder to see strikes as a viable path from the bottom

seeing shit like this keeps me thinking how many times is enough. Peaceful protests arent stopping the violence and kidnappings. when do we escalate and shut down the economy? When does violence become the answer? when will our leaders lead us?

everyone I've brought up the idea to feels too financially insecure to think they can strike, feel it would hurt the business they work for, or are worried about legal repercussions due to no strike contract language. Ugh.

automation at any level is inherently designed to remove the human components from a workforce, self checkout, ai, web portals, etc. these all come with a convenience factor, but need to be pushed against. Bank in person, dont use digital kiosks, never use ai. these things all displace jobs

the thought of horrific murders and beatings is why I own firearms and have my conceal carry. Prevent hate speech, protect kids from violent rhetoric, fund social programs to help prevent mental health crisis, and convince judicial to put away violent offenders instead of putting them back at home
