Mr. Mayor, I believe you have to disclose sponsored posts with #ad 😂

It seems like OSEG is in full PR damage control mode with people finally realizing how bad of a deal Lansdowne 2.0 will be for the people of Ottawa

Reminder that Ottawa is considering pedestrianizing two streets in te Byward market. Remember to submit comments to show we want it pedestrianized! engage.ottawa.ca/bywardmarketh

Why on earth is Granville island not closed to cars in the summer? So crazy that a tiny minority of cars take up so much space, pushing pedestrians to the side

Ottawa’s needs a lot of work (Both in map design and closing our protected bike network’s missing links)

Really impressed by how easy Vancouver makes it for people to figure out the bike network for visitors. A pretty interconnected network of protected bike lanes easily marked on their map based on traffic stress

The Trail Road waste facility is super cool if you’ve never had a chance to go

We can’t make other modes viable if we start with the constraint of maintaining current driving levels of service.

Replacing car lanes with cycling and transit options reduces car volumes over the long term, but we have to accept the short term impacts to achieve this change

It is possible though, I stayed on one of these in Amsterdam. With car lane reductions and reprioritization of space, it is doable

Our three candidates for the debate in Ottawa-Centre. NDP, Liberal, and Green. One candidate did not show up at the last minute, can you guess who?

Say what you will about OC Transpo and the bus route changes, but this little bus cutout mailer they sent out is way too cute

In Ottawa they meet the slip lane at a 90 degree angle (and rarely a raised crossing).

You’re right, however our voting system makes it hard to elect a more progressive government as our vote is split across multiple parties. Something like congestion pricing would require provincial approval, so we have to wait until then.

There’s a former corner store in Ottawa that still has signs of its past

There's a petition opposing the NCC summer zone – and one of their claims is that it slows down emergency vehicles? I guess it would be better if this fire truck was stuck behind cars in traffic???

I’m quite impressed by the precision of the snow clearing operators in Ottawa - it’s quite the organized operation

Simon’s has started embracing the solution 😆

Provincial election transit debate tonight - except one major party seems to be missing? I guess Doug Ford’s Conservatives can’t be bothered to even show up to a debate.

The bus with the most ridership routinely gets delayed 15+ minutes on this segment of Bank Street. It’s time for bus lanes on Bank strongtownsottawa.ca/bank/

Second wish would be to retrofit Line 1/3 trains to have them as well, but I guess we’ll see

Loving the new digital displays on the new O-Train Line 2, but I wonder if we can improve it further with some tweaks and connecting bus info #ottawa #otrain

Curb cuts in the Netherlands 🇳🇱 use this ramp style, and provide a comfortable flat area for pedestrians and cyclists, however with wider sidewalks they leave plenty of space for people
