In the audio it has one pilot asking the other why they shut off the switch. The other responds he didn't. Is it impossible that switch or mechanism may have been faulty and shutoff by itself or some other automatic mechanism ?

Given the oddity of how it happen, it seems like it could still have been induced to happen remotely. Something doesn't compute here.

And he actually did not get the majority of votes.

I know there are plenty of students not getting admitted to medical school in the US because there is a shortage of schools and spots. America could have way more specialists of everything but the powers that be choose to prioritize visa based employed rather than address cause.

Different but they have the commonality of having the same employer.

I agree she did nothing wrong and should not have been detained or turned back. I also wish Brown Univertsity would stop abusing the h1b visa system. There are plenty of Americans who could have filled all these jobs.

Well that counts expats who are US citizens as well. The remittances by actual H1Bs is only a small part. This is why some moved from high cost places to lower cost places. They continue to drive their teslas and purchase homes in droves.

You don't know as much about India. That's my native country. Inflation in India isn't measurable because of the underground economy. The black money system in India is bigger than the entire economy.

Thats currency arbitrage. Doesn't mean much when everything costs 10 times as much as well. There are country caps on h1b but India by far sends the most. I do think the program should get canceled and money invested in US education systems and people and citizens.

Maybe but the bean counters took over from MDC and prioritized stock price over quality and safety. Employees mentioned this happen after MDC corp management took over in the Netflix documentary. That was the inflection point at which Boeing really changed.

India no longer sends their best. They haven't been for over a decade now. They have made efforts to keep their most talented, especially from truly elite Indian institutions. The h1b gets abused by Indian body shop companies. This is the part that needs to be addressed first imo.

Intel is struggling because of all series of multiple strategic and tactical failures by multiple management entities over the last 20 years. DEI had nothing to do with it.

That's why I said the program was compromised over time. To be frank, it has been compromised by a handful of Indian companies. I do know of multiple cases from of the Chinese government using these visas for stealing patents and trade secrets.
January 1, 2025 at 9:34 PM
After the program was effectively penetrated by just a few companies, it has been compromised to use only a certain subset of indians who are not the best at anything. I was told by a former Intel employee that the reason the company is failing is because they hired so many h1b holders.

When McDonnell Douglas management took over Boeing, that's exactly what happened. Corporate greed.

I don't think this will ever change. One side yells fire no matter what anyone says. It is hard to exist in this world if you aren't one of the ones yelling fire. So I say let them burn it all down like they always do. And we will clean it up and never let them forget.

Glad you have come over here. Even more glad I don't have to read the constant snark to your posts. I'm a Dallas native and longtime Mavs fan and huge fan of costplus. Real solutions for all people.

They've legitimatized him for almost 4 years after 1/6. Merrick Garland's biggest mistake was waiting 2 years to prosecute the ringleader of 1/6.

This has been the new norm in my locale. The temperature use to cool down in summer nights. That is gone and summer now is a 5 month season when it use to be a 3 month season.
