During the Cretaceous North America was split into two parts by the western interior seaway. Some of the most famous dinosaur species like T-Rex and Triceratops have only ever been found in Laramidia. So they probably evolved on and were unique to the island like Kangaroos and Wombats are to Aus.

I remember trying to learn graphic design from books in the 90s and early 2000s thinking there was some objective principal to it and all the designs were just this.

It's been a little over a year since Hurricane Hillary passed through Death Valley and Lake Manly re-emerged for a while. This is from shortly after the park re-opened when the water was clear and mirror like.
