In Gen 4,You can't shiny hunt Manaphy in the game you send the egg to. Your Trainer ID will be incapable of hatching a shiny, but you can trade the egg to another trainer ID, but that would cause you to have to reset your Gen 4 Save.
You can't reset a Ranger save file to get another Manaphy egg.

A lot of functionality was removed by haphazardly eliminating the ability to throw a Pal out of their Palsphere.
You can't aim at an object you want your Pal to interact with upon summoning, which is critical to gather resources.
Certain Pals were usually clipping into the ground when spawned.
