Trump also just told Bondi to investigate a bunch of Democrats wrt Epstein. I suspect that he will sign the bill and then use these ongoing investigations to hold up the release of ALL the files.

During the Biden administration, they were doing investigations. Therefore, the files could not be released. Bondi killed those investigations and therefore, the files can be released.

It takes longer when he requires Congress to pass a law.
He doesn't really want the files released. He just said they should do what they were already going to do, so he wouldn't look like a huge loser -- again.

I sure wish Congress would defend itself and not wimp out and let Trump do things they are responsible for, but going after judges/justices who try to hold him to the law/constitution is going way too far.
