We've learned that placing different N-terminal tags on UBQLN2 and UBQLN4 affect phase separation. The best tag we found thus far for UBQLNs is the recently engineered ALFA tag (www.nature.com/articles/s41...) The sequence grammar of the epitope matters. More:
