Over the last few months I've received some questions about how I view the wider "decentralized social media" ecosystem outside of Bluesky. I wrote something about that here: www.techdirt.com/2024/10/29/s...
Rationale being:
1. Culture changed
2. Which market/sector will have most growth and impact in next 10 yrs?
Tailwind has changed and we must adopt

I wish, in 10 yrs, from hindsight this is the necessary and right decision to make.
It sure feels painful today when I cancelled all the tickets and arrangements

Used to feel I find my belonging in this ___ community, now I realize it’s not the same as 18’-19’ anymore.
