Picked up some new plants from the discount section Friday. This one was all buds, but looked healthy, so I gave it a try. What a delightful surprise!

A few facts: outdoor female cats can have 3 litters a year. In warm climates they are basically always pregnant or nursing - it leaves them with little resources for themselves.
Male cats fight less once fixed, and the population has remained stable.

It took a full year, but we spayed/neutered 10 cats, with only one left to get. I also fostered one of females with her three kittens when they got endangered and the three now have happy indoor lives. Mamma never got less spicy, so she is fixed and happily back outside.

For males, you hold them overnight to get body temp regulation and full alertness back, then release.
Females it’s often the same, but since it’s so invasive, we got a set up to safely keep them for 4-5 days and give them pain meds in their food. This worked well for our community cats.

Trap training is important, as most cats won’t just walk into the back if a narrow enclosed space to eat. Except this guy- Socks ran right in.

Just out here caulking a toilet to the floor before getting settled in to edit for a few hours. Been refreshing the half bath weekend by weekend.
