I hike, I read, I cook, I yoga. Stereotypical CO mom. Plant a native plant this year.
Transfusing with an incompatible blood type also "boosts" your immunity but I wouldn't recommend it.

You sound like one of my best friends who has horrible flight anxiety. Her MO is to get drunk beforehand. This has resulted in some unfortunate airport purchases, including blue eyeliner from the MAC store at DIA. Anyway it sucks and I'm sorry!

This helps local non-industrial farmers be able to get their seasons going. They typically aren't (as) subsidized as commodity/industrial farmers so it can be very hard financially to stay afloat. And you get local veggies that you've already paid for that aren't as subject to market variations.

Community Supported Agriculture. A typical model is that you pay a local farm upfront for a share of their harvest before the season begins. This gives them literal seed money to get things planted. Then, during the growing season, you pick up a weekly share of produce.

A LOT of rage 😤 Then I look west at the front range, breathe & remember I’m a speck on the spectrum of mountain time .. and contemplate what I can do in this little corner of the world. We got this.

Cinnamon and nutmeg for sure. I always do a teaspoon of cinnamon and 1/4 tsp nutmeg in my banana bread.

And last but not least: cherry cobbler with sugar cookie crust for the birthday dude. I had 9 lbs of sour cherries from the farmers market this summer that hadn't been touched. I used a recipe from a local-ish baking blog, Curly Girl Kitchen (I don't think she's on here or I'd tag).

Sunday morning I cooked up some sourdough English muffins. I've made these a few times and I think this was my best batch. If you have any tips on getting these right, I'm all ears!

I also dried some orange slices for mocktails. I'm not doing an official dry January or anything, just haven't felt like drinking lately. And I'm not missing the bad sleep or icky next-morning feeling while I'm dealing with existential dread.

Then I made my first sourdough discard egg noodles. I made soup with leftover turkey and turkey broth from Thanksgiving that I've had stashed in the freezer. I added a bit of white whole wheat flour to the noodles for a little extra nutrition. So good.
