Hello friends! Game-maker, writer, composer. Waterworld enthusiast. Currently Artist-in-Residence at ACAVA (they/them)
A few snaps from my show Return To Dreamphone. (I've never really used to checking/posting to bsky. This is a little tidbit to stay present.) Shown at Barham Park in March, and August as part of the Brent Biennial.
A ring of towers, connected through their root system, chirrup signals into the room.

I'm testing a local server prototype as part of the show. It's a chance to play around with digital archiving and sharing experiences without being tied to the internet.

If you'd like to come and see the show. It's on from the 26-30 March at ACAVA Studios Barham Park, Wembley Central. nickmurray.horse/return-to-dr...

I have a little work-in-progress show on next week. It's the culmination of a socially-led residency with ACAVA. Here's a little video where I say a bit about what's on.

Inspired by @miss-sammie.bsky.social's incredible temporary archive workshop, I had another go at my local-only digital archive AND IT FINALLY WORKS! Running a program called Shareboxx, it's a local WiFi network for sharing and archiving digital stuff during real space meeting.

It's a work in progress show of some of the things I've been thinking about while artist-in-residence at ACAVA, Barham Park. It's also a spiritual sequel to my narrative game Dial 55555 (formerly Dreamphone). I'm still looking for that place just past the horizon. www.acava.org/news/nick-mu...

I'm putting on my first solo exhibition!
A mix of interactive installation, game-making and poetry, Return to Dreamphone continues my collaboration with the tributaries of the River Brent and the communities living alongside.

A little draft of a new poetry piece, Tamagotchi Seance 2. Push the button and get a little glitched generative message from your long gone digital pet.

My first post here is to tell you that I'll be talking about Tamagotchi and the closing of digital worlds at The Photographers Gallery on September 8th! If you're into virtual spaces and weird little digital guys, this might be for you! thephotographersgallery.org.uk/whats-on/tpg...
