free spotify has now become so atrociously bad in an attempt to get people to pay that i've just stopped using it all together. like i'd rather have NO music than whatever this is 🥲

There will always be a significant amount of people who have taxes that are more complicated than this system can account for that will want accountants. People who run businesses or are self employed/freelancers, people who have money in shares/property, people who work multiple jobs, etc.

We still have many tax firms and many accountants here in Australia where lodging your tax return if you have a single salaried FT job is as easy as logging onto the govt tax website at tax time, checking that their summary of tax owed is correct and then hitting "submit."
