This is autobiographical. But it's also an invitation to anyone who's ever dreamed of a career in space and thought it wasn't possible. My journey to space (as a space lawyer. Caveat: never actually been to space.)

It's #WorldSpaceWeek! What better way to celebrate than buy a piece of the Moon! You can buy lunar sites online for just $34.99. JK, it's a scam. But then what's the difference between this and million dollar deals to sell lunar resources? spacecitizens.substack.com/p/can-you-bu...

So many big fat question marks about Trump's recent Exec order, that basically says "no more environmental impact assessment of launches". After I saw @crisveijk.bsky.social make sense of it in a short Bsky thread, I invited him to write a guest post spacecitizens.substack.com/p/trumps-bol...

This week I'm asking you what you want to know about Mr Musk himself, and I'll answer. I don't write about him very often, but with a new Exec Order this week making it even easier for launches and re- entries to be licensed, his name is in the headlines once again. Spacecitizens.substack.com

I don't have a happy pill for war in the headlines, but I do have a take on why it's so important that space does not become a battlefield, for the sake of civilians globally. Read this week's "Space Citizens" substack. And take your time with it. open.substack.com/pub/spacecit...

Space-based technologies have changed the character of war for decades, and are likely to play an even greater role in decades to come. Check out the GPS "manpacks" from 1978 compared to GPS precision guided weapons today. Can space tech make war suck less? open.substack.com/pub/spacecit...

A couple of weeks ago I asked some primary school kids to help me find solutions for space traffic management. Read my Substack about how they totally nailed it. With the recent US decision to cease funding TraCSS, maybe we should just put the kids in charge?

I know news cycles have moved on, and there are more grave things going on in the world, but I'm still convinced that the end of the Musk-Trump bromance means the beginning of the end of US dominance in space. And that this provides opportunities for other international collaborations.

Axiom Space has partnered with Prada on their new spacesuit design! Kudos to Koichi Wakata, Japanese astronaut who has flown as a JAXA astronaut to the ISS several times and is now with Axiom Space - he acknowledged the need for adaptable suits for a range of body types. Apparently Prada can help!

Really enjoyed the candid views and insights shared by participants at the Space Security Dialogue hosted Geneva Centre for Security Policy. Track 2 when done well can be really insightful. And fun. Fantastic gathering of people, and so nice to be in Geneva again
