She hadn’t, yet, watched even more friends —and her own son— struggle with mental illness. She also hadn’t made hundreds of new friends, joined a choir, loved and lost a gorgeous Australian Shepherd, or traveled to MDRS. (3/4)

Walking this morning, I remembered: that woman hadn’t been through a cancer scare leading to a radical hysterectomy, or the bleeding ulcers that followed. She hadn’t yet had to pull her neurodivergent sons out of public school and figure out how to educate them. (2/4)

Would be even more ironic if they realized that Les Mis is about the June Rebellion/student uprising of 1832 which occurred AFTER the France's brief attempt at a Republic, a narcissist taking over as Emperor, and then a return to monarchy.
