My daughter is actually reading a book about a girl from Ukraine during WWII. I used that as a segue into a conversation about the current war in Ukraine vs Russia and the old USSR. Having open and honest dialogue is my goal. It’s hard but necessary.

I was 10 years old. The same age my daughter is now when the Berlin Wall fell. It’s infuriating and heartbreaking that my daughter at 10 will not have a memory or possible peace but instead a world of hate and divide 😔
