If we make it a national (or international) day or campaign, then people have a reminder to reach out. Bonus points if it is made fun with party elements.

We are all going to be affected by the biases.

For example, there is a known salience bias for deciding what was the cause of something. Meaning that what you witnessed most directly will feel more like the real causal factor for an event.

Make a campaign or holiday or national day that calls for people reaching out and listening to eachother.

And I think we are also in our own bubbles and should offer a space where we say "I might be wrong in some ways too" and together we find the things we are both agreeing on.

I recently had a similar slump and what helped me was doing a big spontaneous fun thing. (Mine was going to a stand up comedy show and chatting with old friends after, and making new friends until 5am. Felt like a new person. Motivation for dayzzz)

"Hey! Thanks for hanging out."
"Did you miss me? 😁"
"We did great today."

Have you seen the person on tiktok who explains how different societies will form different religions and explains why some shift to more human-like or less so? It is pretty cool.

As an eastern european with very little knowledge of the American voting parties, I got the impression those who accept marginalized communities were the "leftists". Now I realize the criteria is completely different...Thanks!
