The New York Times Editorial Board complains that people engage in "whataboutism" about anti-Semitism and then literally ONE PARAGRAPH later engages in whataboutism about the US-Israeli genocide in Gaza

"Taiwan's president is taking a tougher stance on China despite a backlash from Beijing and at home"
Why might a government do something so unpopular? The article doesn't tell us.
The answer is that the US has a large amount of control over Taiwan's politics.

This is odd and unhelpful framing.
The "rules-based" order always meant that the US made the rules and did what it wanted (e.g. supporting its client state Israel and opposing Russia).
On the other hand, the US often ignores and opposes international law in these matters.

Huge error in the headline, @nytimes.com.
There's no conclusive evidence there are North Korean troops in Ukraine. North Korean troops might be in Kursk (Russia).

Also, guess what country is the big defender of tax havens, and is trying to block tax reform at the UN (reforms that would prevent more Panama/Pandora Papers)?

Here's another one! We now have two heads of state involved in the process that say it was a sham (so Ukraine could buy time and improve its military). This is extremely damning! I trust this will satiate your demands here, see you later

China's diplomatic and economic relations work because there's mutual respect and they offer resources. The US has no divine right to play a role in the region.

I'm a big fan of denominators and I'm glad another graphic was included in this piece
It shows that the article's thesis that "China is upending climate politics because it emits too much" falls apart because China's emissions per capita are very low.
