Also this little guy has been with us for 6 weeks now. He's a former stray--just under a year old--that we adopted from the local rescue. Still a bit skittish around humans (though he allows my daughter to hold him like a baby... 🙄🤣) but he's making progress and is a purr machine!

Prepping some rolags with braid that's slightly felted and some "faux cashmere" I randomly had in my fiber stash. Planning on a two ply, woolen spun (not my strong suit & therefore needs practice) on my Spinolution Pollywog and then plying on the Daedalus Starling (e-spinner). #handspun #handspinner

Prepping some rolags with braid that's slightly felted and some "faux cashmere" I randomly had in my fiber stash. Planning on a two ply, woolen spun (not my strong suit & therefore needs practice) on my Spinolution Pollywog and then plying on the Daedalus Starling (e-spinner). #handspun #handspinner
Come-as-you-go spinning using a pack of "tidbits" from Hobbledehoy I bought many years ago at MDSW. Singles are being spun worsted at 30wpi to eventually be plied into a 3 ply sock yarn! I took a break last year from any spinning and have come back to it with a vengeance this spring! #spinning

Unpacking a box of antique and vintage ephemera I've not touched in probably six years (due to space and it being in storage). I thought I'd stupidly given away my copies of Patterns of Fashion 1&2, but look what I found! Happy day! 🥳

🧶 Sock stack for the Oldest Child; including a couple that have sat in my finishing pile for a while, needing the ends woven. Bottom sock will have a match soon; it's still on my needles. Once I'm done with these, it's on to a few pairs for the Youngest! #knitting #knitsky

Recently realized a white skirt I thrifted last year makes an excellent, Edwardian-esque petticoat and certainly is a welcome extra layer during this cold snap! Also: handknit socks, of course! 🧶 (No idea the pattern or yarn, as I'm awful at keeping notes.) #secondhandfashion

Picked this up at TJs recently to try, and it's not bad! I usually stick to white/bright rose, as my experience with red wine is mixed. Though I do like one with a good body and not too tart/dry. Definitely let breathe a bit after uncorking/pouring. Under $10 iirc.
