He doesn't owe anyone an explanation, but if he doesn't have one then I don't care about his feelings. This is just as vapid as when you ask someone why they liked a movie and they say it was "beautiful" or "moving." You don't look like less of a nitwit for taking the stance of a hater.

I have a poor idea of what is "rated" by the rest of the anime fan community (because I don't interact with them) but my contribution would be Akiba Maid War.

Evangelion: 3.0+1.0 Thrice Upon a Time
I did not like (most of) the other Rebuild movies, so I went into the final one with low expectations. Not to mention the series+EoE already had two phenomenal endings. The highlight of this one is that it actually resolves the conflict with Shinji's father.

The dolly zoom in Jaws, arguably one of the most famous shots of any Spielberg movie, succeeds in part because of the placement of the horizon in the middle. Surely he can't believe in this rule either?
