Additionally, doing a lot of these steps will also impact the regimes ability to use its online surveillance tools. Like Zignal Labs: bsky.app/profile/casc...
Let’s talk about the ICE surveillance tool and how you you can thwart it.

Zignal Labs runs a “media‑intelligence” platform that pulls in raw content from thousands of sources—broadcast TV and radio, print and online news sites, blogs, forums, and social‑media streams.

Next up: NAI’s “YourAdChoices”. The Network Advertising Initiative (NAI) operates a separate opt‑out hub. Many smaller ad‑tech firms belong only to NAI.

Here’s a step by step guide that will hurt all these companies drastically if everyone takes the time (about 2 hours total) to do it: bsky.app/profile/casc...
Paramount Global (the former ViacomCBS) is a classic “media‑and‑entertainment” company, so its cash flow comes from a handful of well‑established pillars that look very similar across the big studios and broadcasters. Here’s a high‑level view of where the bulk of the money typically comes from:
BREAKING: Paramount Skydance has launched a hostile bid to buy Warner Bros. Discovery.

Why should you? Doing so makes the whole targeted‑ad ecosystem far less effective at profiling you and if enough people do it, it will cripple advertising (which is what most companies like Google, Paramount, Netflix, Facebook rely heavily on for profit. It’s all about advertising to MAKE YOU SPEND.

Opting out is not a one‑time “set‑and‑forget” action; it’s a habit of periodic review. By completing the steps above and keeping a simple log, you’ll dramatically reduce the amount of personal data that data brokers can sell to advertisers.

But wait, THERE IS MORE. Even after using the alliance portals, a few large data brokers operate their own opt‑out mechanisms. Below are the most common ones and how to handle them:

For any members that redirect you (e.g., Quantcast, Rubicon Project), follow the on‑screen instructions to finish the opt‑out.
