If I may ask. While browsing Tumblr, I saw the following character analysis of Dess: www.tumblr.com/duskwingmoth... (screenshot also attached)
As a recent believer in Dess and Susie paralleling each other (and thus agreeing with the analysis), I can't help but ask: Would you say you agree or no?
Text post by Tumblr user @duskwingmoth (Part 1 of the text) The thing about my version of Dess is that when I first settled on her look I was super annoyed with the Disney Channel big sis that is the fandom's collective interpretation of her. Just a nice girl. A bit rough girl. Good sister girl. Good friend girl. Don't tell me what to do, mom girl. Perfectly marketable. Crusts cut off. And like. I don't *hate* that Dess. I, like many people, definitely wish I had a cool big sister like that, and am not immune to a good paragraph of her being so cool and sweet. Even I, at my most contrarian, cannot bring myself to portray her as total garbage because dammit, her baby sister misses her so much and that can't mean nothing. But Hometown *doesn't* talk about her. They pretend she never existed. They rizz Asriel up every chance they get, barely need prompting to do so, and Dess, his neighbor, ostensibly one of his oldest and closest relationships, is disappeared from the town's collective memory. We only know her name because of Noelle and an overly-nostalgic TV. Before chapters 3+4 we knew nothing about her, saw no evidence of her existence – only the reminiscence of a sad and lonely little sister gave away that she had ever been there at all. And just. People just don't Do That to somebody they generally liked. To a kid they were fond of and miss. And Susie comes into town and doesn't even get a chance to start something different for herself. The town is already primed to hate her. Almost like she's slotting into a role intentionally left empty, a space purposefully left blank. (Part 2 on the second screenshot) (Part 2 of the text post) So I thought about it. Really thought about it. Though hard about how a girl treated that way post-mortem would have gotten there and how she might fit into the themes of Deltarune (and Undertale). A girl who forged Jevil and Spamton as they are from the depths of whatever remained of her will. And I had her put a knife to Kris's throat. And I drew her smashing mailboxes. And I drew her smoking while she's supposed to be babysitting. Because maybe she's a bit fucked up, a bit selfish, a bit rudderless. A resolute trainwreck crashing through a life she does not value and does not trust because her perception of existence is varying degrees of violence until a meaningless end. A blind prophet of apathetic rot and doom. She was lost before she disappeared. She became a screaming harbinger for fear and despair because those existed so strongly at the root of her SOUL that its consumption of her only made her stronger. Find Her is not merely a task of hide-and-seek. Kris already knows where she is. There is yet more that must be done to save her. It might be too late. Like, when I imagine the hypothetical scene where Dess is "saved," whatever that entails, it's not Lost Girl that plays. It's a slow and somber rendition of Black Knife. That's her *real* theme. That's her vibe when she's at rest. I might even make it myself lmao

Whoever would post this as the answer to the question doesn't actually consider themself radicalized. This is someone who thinks we can get justice by asking nicely.
