WIP Lancelot du Lac

Took a break from drawing concepts for Marie de France's Lais (which I'll be sharing on Patreon this week) to make more progress on my Galehaut/Lancelot/Guinevere painting.

I completely redrew Lancelot and...I might have fallen in love.🥺

"Hades & Persephone" (2023) A portrait of Hades and Persephone, the Greek god and goddess of the underworld. They are framed by Cerberus and his mane of snakes, tangled in the golden branches of a Pomegranate tree. "Those United in a Common Cause" (2024) A draft based off my favorite boss fight from the Elden Ring's DLC: Shadow of the Erdtree. The tarnished battles alongside his companions Sir Ansbach and Thiollier against Miquella's followers. In the background is an ascended Miquella who towers over the ensuing conflict with a pale golden might. "ZENSHU Portraits" Drafts (2025) A collage of four seperate portraits I drafted earlier this year of the main characters from anime series Zenshu. Top left: Natsuko at her desk sketching a portrait of Luke while QJ hovers by her side. Top right: Luke prepares a meal in the kitchen while Unio relaxes with a drink by the window. Bottom left: Memmeln enjoys Natsuko's sketches of her idol Exister while her friends Meg and Sally chat in the background. Bottom right: Destiny proudly poses with Justice and some of the children in their care. An aerial shot of the Serval Cat House Orphanage can be seen in the background. "Wylder Concepts" (2025) Concept sketches of how I imagine Wylder from Elden Ring Nightreign appears without his helmet: Very dark blonde that leans more into brunette, styled similar to a wolf cut. He wears a thin dark band across his forhead and his skin has a few scars and many blue markings and make-up traditional to his tribe (as I'd imagine). He has pale green/blue eyes like his sister, Duchess. The top two headshots are in 3 quarter and profile view. The bottom sketch is a head to waist drawing of Wylder about to serve bread from one of his mother's recipes.

A triple-bodied Hecate in different ages with pale purple skin and dark and grey hair is dressed in a regal combination of a peplos and chiton (in black and red with golden embroidery). The center figure of Hecate has a spiked crown of twisted hair with strings of golden wrapped aroudd them. She gazes down gently at Hecuba, the former Queen of Troy who casted herself into the sea to her death, but is now ascending to become the goddess' familiar in the form of a black dog.

"Merlin Concepts"🐉🦇

Sketches of Merlin and his parents, the few artwork that survived my blunder from yesterday (where I accidentally saved over a file that contained over a month of Arthurian concept art)💔.

I only have screenshots of them so I figured I'd go ahead and share.

The first concept art of my interpretation of Merlin and his parents. Starting on the left side are sketches of Merlin's parents, a human woman (drawn in gold with pale blonde hair) and an incubus (drawn in blue and colored with a paler blue) being intimate. The middle sketch is a child Merlin dressed in all dark clothes with shoulder-length ghostly mint colored hair, while holding a red and white dragon. This is in reference to a part in Merlin's childhood when he reveals to King Vortigern that there are two dragons dwelling beneath the fortress he was trying build and the prophecy they represent. The right side is a bust sketch of an older but still young looking Merlin who now has long hair. A sketch of baby Merlin with his parents. In the foreground is his incubus parent, who's body is cover in grayish teal hair, with a darker teal hair in a choppy bob cut on their head. They also have small bat wings with pale green membranes. Two horns emerge from their head and they wear a garland of leaves as a crown. The incubus holds out their hand as toys materialize in the air and tilt their head back to look at their lover and child. Behind the incubus is Merlin's mother gently smiling down at baby Merlin who returns his mother's gaze with a stoic expression.

I started Silent Hill f last night n it made me want to draw fox spirits again! That's when I remembered I have this sketch of a "kitsune no yomeiri"/fox wedding from last year.🦊💍

It's part of a series of paintings exploring sunshowers and their relation to multiple types of supernatural weddings.

Concept Art of Queen Guinevere and the Lady of the Lake from Arthurian Legends. - Guinevere has dark eyes with light makeup and long dark hair braided over her shoulder. Upon her head is a golden circlet that is bejeweled with pearls and pale violet gems. A string of the gold and gems hang from the circlet and frame the sides of her face. Her dress is a cool purple leaning more towards blue with a heavy mantle over it in tyrian purple (a more reddish dye) with golden embroidery. A pale sheer fabric wraps over her neck and shoulders. The Lady of the Lake takes on an elf-like appearance with very long ears that stretch out the side of her head. Her ears and the top half of her face (beginning above her eye) are a soft blue color while the rest of her skin is ghostly pale with fish scales. Her eyes are entirely blue like sapphire. Her long hair is the color of indigo and falls wildly down her back while adorned with green willow leaves. The Lady wears a pale sheer dress of several layers that hang loosely down her shoulders with large floating sleeves that reflect with fish scales. Golden accessories are worn on her wrists, ears, neck and front braids. The fay presents before her the legendary sword Excalibur with a gold hilt and a flaming red sheath detailed with dragons.

2021 - 2022 - 2023 - 2024

I'm still trying to finish a painting for 2025 since most of my work this year are concept sketches...so have these 4 instead!
"Coronation of the Undead" (2021) An original piece depicting Titania, Queen of the Fairies as she crowns her resurrected human lover. They're surrounded by bats and a variety of fay creatures. The illustration is colored in ghostly pale greens. "The Familiars" (2022) Illustration of two cat familiars surrounded by purple and pink wisterias on a gradient background of red. The cats belong to my DnD OC (a tiefling rogue/bard) and his husband (an elf sorcerer). One cat is pale blue with spotted patterns mimicking a snow leopard. This cat is actually two since they have diprosopus/are a Janus Cat and thus have two faces (they have 3 eyes and share the middle one). The other cat is mostly dark blue with even darker stripes. The ears are long like caracal wild cats and has a jade gem on their forehead. Similar to "nekomata" from Japanese myths, they possess two tails as well. "Hades & Persephone" (2023) A bust portrait of the King and Queen of the Underworld from Greek Mythology. Fun fact: This piece took 7-8 years for me to finish as a I developed my skills! The couple affectionately lean on each other as they are framed by Cerberus, the hound of Hades and their mane of snakes, twisting with golden branches of a pomegranate tree. The dog heads and snakes of Cerberus vary between 3 colors: white, black and red, in reference to a depiction of them on an ancient greek hydria. Hades appears with a semi-skeletal teal face and darker teal hair. His clothes are in dark and pale greens, with a serpent brooch and crown of cypress branches (symbols associated with the god of the dead). Persephone has tan skin, a warmth to contrast the deathly cool colors of her husband. Her eyes are pale pink with irises of an even bolder magenta. She has long pale green hair in a warmer hue, and its braided up high with some strands cascading down her shoulders. Narcissus flowers are woven through her hair (the flower she is said to have been picking when she is taken by Hades). She also wears earrings and a necklace of "ears of wheat" as a goddess of grain and in honor of her mother Demeter, goddess of harvest and agriculture. "Those United in a Common Cause" (2024) A draft for a painting I wanted to depict of my favorite moment/boss fight in the Elden Ring DLC Shadow of the Erdtree. The title is in reference to the theme song of the battle. (NOTE: SPOILERS AHEAD) The entire piece glows with gold except for the figures battling in the foreground in a contrast of purple and blue hues. In the background is the demigod Miquella the Kind, a towering figure of pale gold. He creates one of his crescent crosses where he "sheds his flesh", a process to sacrifice parts of his former self in an effort to achieve godhood. In the lower foreground creating an arched movement are several of the main characters of the DLC. In the middle is the tarnished Raging Wolf, jumping in mid attack with the Bolt of Gransax, a glowing giant spear-like weapon shaped like tangled lightning. Below him fighting back to back are his sole allies: Ansbach and Thiollier. Ansbach slices at his two foes (Freyja and Leda) with his scythe enchanted with a bloody incantation. Freya evades the flaming blood as she jumps to slice Ansbach with her greatsword. Fast approaching behind them is Leda with her sword drawn. Thiollier drowns his attackers in a flurry of his green poison as he attempts to stab the Hornsent with a needle weapon, who dodges under with his two blades readied for an attack. Behind the Hornsent is Moore in his verdigris armor holding a massive shield above. Further back is the agile Dryleaf Dane making an effort to dodge the poison.
