Wow. The fact that three “trending” accounts liked this reply within seconds because I used the word “trends” is also kind of gross.

I also am on a niche social media where they write poems and then create an AI image to go with it which blows my mind when there are so many artists to promote instead. Or be a creative human and make something yourself for the joy of it. It’s a false portrayal of perfection when perfect isn’t real

It’s frustrating to try to “compete” with the flood of AI, when art shouldn’t be a competition. It creates bottlenecked trends and expectations for what looks good and what doesn’t, and discourages artists from veering off that path
