Second (and last) day’s ikebana piece! 💐❤️💐

Signed up for a Christmas-themed ikebana workshop, and these were Day 1’s pieces 💐❤️💐
A vaguely Christmas-themed wreath made using ikebana concepts. One half of the wreath has pine leaves and berries (I think), pink peppercorn, and green cornflowers (I think) arranged. Near the bottom are 2 blooms of dried cotton flowers and 2 sticks of cinnamon. There is a loose silver-gold mizuhiki knot looping through the top of the wreath A vaguely Christmas-themed ikebana flower arrangement set in a black lacquer box. The arrangement is made up of eucalyptus leaves with a creamy white anthurium flower as the centrepiece. There is a smaller red anthurium flower and bundle of small white flowers in the foreground, and some red berries in the background

Special highlight to this piece cause I recognise the artist as the one who did the wedding invitation from CMC!! Their art’s so gorgeous 🥰 Wish I knew who the artist is, cause this was in a goodie bag another Chinese YCF fan helped to collect before we got to the theatre - everyone’s just so nice 🥺

More alive now so have some more photos of the decor outside the theatre with the cast list for the show and the pre-show stage!

Being in row 6 was pretty great! Close enough to be able to see expressions (but maybe not as clearly as compared with binoculars haha) and also take in the whole stage~

So I watched parts of this needed to translate what AYG said when his duet partner asked him what kind of memories he has of summer before they performed:
You might, in that moment, think of that summer in the first blush of youthful love, when you and your lover are experiencing the ocean wind together, or riding horses together on the grasslands. That kind of passionate romance, everyone will have such an experience. It’s a part of our life that’s really, very worth reminiscing.

The YCF Intangible Cultural Heritage Experience booth! Yes, these 2 fans set up an art experience booth. I am still amazed. And once they found out I flew in from overseas, they immediately asked me to try it out! My final product in P2 - not perfect but I still love it! 🥰🥰
YCF Intangible Cultural Heritage Experience Basically using a type of traditional Chinese art form to create your own YCF art piece Not depicted is an embossed square-shaped stone which forms the mold (not sure if right terminology) for the picture. The red paper is laid on top of the stone and gently sprayed with water, after which a padded hammer is used to whack the paper so that the shape starts to form. Then a plastic cover is put on top of the red paper and another round of whacking (with a brush-like tool) happens, which seems to be to make sure the finer details get captured. Once done, there are 2 applicators. You dip 1 into a small amount of gold ink and then rub the applicators together to evenly distribute the ink, then you dab onto the red paper and only the raised portions will catch ink. Slowly repeat to add more colour until it’s done! My finished YCF art piece! The gold ink isn’t evenly distributed, especially the bottom is thicker because I used a bit too much ink 😂 But still a wonderful experience and the girls were so generous and lovely!

My haul from the musical! The Chinese YCF fangirls are so generous at their pre-musical fan goods exchanges!! 🥰🥰 I wasn’t planning to participate cause I felt bad I didn’t have anything to give but some of them gave me anyway
The overall haul: left most column is made up of official goods I bought. Everything else was given to me Blue bracelet with bunny, cat & cloud charms from K’van! A.k.a. this trip’s friendship bracelet because it was only limited to 5 pieces xD Pink bracelet with a special YCF bead courtesy of a pair of Chinese fangirls who set up an experience booth - I am not kidding will elaborate in another post These are not cookies.
