Not yet. My plan is to shop it around without an editor, and if no one bites then I'll spend the money on one and try again.

I'm allowed to acknowledge that it blows and that I struggle with the idea of wearing one all the time again. Most of us in the US, at least, did not grow up wearing them.

I currently have no problem masking while sick, & masking if someone would like me to mask, but I will admit I struggle w/ the idea of wearing them all the time again. I was a very good mask wearer for a long time, so I know I am capable. My in-person work colleague & I have been discussing this.

Even if you went to the hospital, especially even if your doctors told you to go to the hospital, the ER would probably come at you with "we don't treat chronic illness." You'd just be spending money and hauling yourself out of the house to subject yourself to some ER doctor's disdain. No thank you.

"Glad" to see you posting about this. I'm spitting angry at how people don't seem all that worked up about it. They are too busy with their performative grief and outrage regarding other matters.

I have a family member who just dismissively says the sick person had a pre-existing condition and that's the end of the discussion for her.
