There were a lot of reasons behind it. That doesn’t mean I agree with them, only that I understandthe history and sociology behind it.

And so did I, but I can also tell you that my first experiences with bigotry were from my Mexican grandmother, hating black and gay people. The Hispanic population has a long history of bigotry. My father is ashamed of being Mexican. It’s more complicated than a post here can explain.

The point of commenting was because a question was asked. That question can be answered without agreeing with the people that did it. I can explain to you why Germans in the 30s supported Hitler, that doesn’t mean I agree with them. Ignorance on either side is dangerous.

I’m not trying to claw my way out of anything. Simply explaining that something happens doesn’t mean I agree with the people who do it. I said why they did it, I didn’t say I agreed with them. WTF.

Where did I defend anything? There is a difference between explaining something exists and defending it. I can explain that antisemitism exists without agreeing with it.

I don’t know anyone ALL Latinos hate. That’s a very all inclusive question about a diverse group of people. It’s like asking “Which people do white people hate”. That doesn’t mean racism and bigotry doesn’t exist among the Latino community, even against their own or even the self loathing.

There are so many things to unpack here. There’s not nearly enough space here to explain what racists do to whom or what “the other ones” means. And why do you seem upset at me for saying it? What exactly did I say that was incorrect?
