Animation enthusiast chilling away in this dimension and unbothered by his non-corporeal form. Into Nintendo gaming, stuff that's cute and tough, and socialising with affable, friendly people. Just don’t go expecting any physical presence from me.
Looks like someone’s having himself a bundle of fun! 😇

After watching the English: neat, that was cool.

After watching the Japanese: agreed, that sounds and flows better. So yep, the localisation does feel “off”!

Still, given how many great JP Kirby commercials there have been (Pope & Galileo playing Dream Course 😉), all for bringing them over still.

A ★★★ review of KPop Demon Hunters (2025)
If I was to see Netflix's first true animated movie zeitgeist, on the level of Encanto or maybe even Frozen, it's good I did so during its repeat sing-along limited engagement. For on top of forcing m...

They don’t: older games are legacy figures straight from Nintendo. They did release a press statement a couple of years after saying the VC rereleases of the Gen I/II games had been purchased over 1.5m times together, but that’s all we’ve got. No indication as to how that’s split between them.

My cinema I’m going to in a few hours to see this for the first time has 21 seats booked (of 180-odd). 22 with me. Will be higher in reality, you always get a load of families deciding to go last minute and paying at the door. But as it’s my first time, I do also hope the audience doesn’t sing, heh.

ParaNorman: The Thrifting (★★★) – A cute coda to the world of the main feature. The painterly CG aesthetic is an awkward fit though, and putting it before the film, not after, was asinine. (3/3) letterboxd.com/cartoonkarma...
A ★★★ review of ParaNorman: The Thrifting (2025)
A cute coda to the world of the main feature, where the fact of the protagonist being able to see and interact with ghosts is an expected norm, and extrapolating from that a reasonable minor conflict,...

A ★★★★ review of ParaNorman (2012)
The danger of first coming to ParaNorman thirteen years later (Laika is ashamedly rather a blind spot for me), is that its major technological and stylistic advances in stop-motion augmented by 3D pri...

Reportedly one of Matt Groening’s favourite jokes in the show, this. Another is “He can’t hear you, we had to pack his ears with gauze” from an ambulance worker regarding Milhouse after Nelson beat the crap out of him.

Meanwhile you’ve barely changed between both photos, minus the beard. 😁

“Luna as a Gamer” sees quite the resurrection, Britannia Master gets underway, I have to repeat the “lanyard’s for me not you” lecture I gave to Applejack for Pinkie & Izzy, and the domination of Kpop Demon Hunters leads to one of the charity auction’s highest lots. (3/3) @ukponycon.bsky.social

The Charity Auction lots pile up, Rebecca Shoichet answers a most interesting question, the Legion of Doom prove great at evil power ballads, and the truth is told about Starlight. (2/3) @ukponycon.bsky.social
