It appeared this next act in her career was just getting started with more comedic performances and even some dramatic turns. Sadly, that act has been cut short, but O’Hara’s work will be watched for generations to come. RIP 1954-2026.

Yet, it’s only been in the past ten years or so that people seemed to realize just how underrated she was. Through “Schitt’s Creek,” “The Studio,” and even a return to the “Beetlejuice” franchise, O’Hara seemed to shake that under-appreciated status, being regarded as the legend she was.
