I went to a cave yesterday, it was so cool.

Literally. It’s 58° in there year round, I was in heaven.

All jokes aside, this absolutely ruled and I learned a few new things about cave moss, bats, and Little People.

Several people standing at the mouth of a cave. There is a large flat, tree covered slab of rock that leads into total darkness. The opening is about 125 feet wide and 30 feet tall. Further inside the mouth of the cave, a few people gather near a handrail looking up at the ceiling. The ceiling is made of layers of limestone rock with orange lighting mixing with natural sunlight. Inside the cave now, a stalactite jokingly named ‘corn on the cob’ because the rock is yellow and bumpy due to the water flow pattern and trace amounts of sulphur in the rock. The central chamber of the Cathedral Caverns. A dozen or so pillars of limestone, lit by blue LED and orange light illuminating thousands of lines and facets. It looks like several candles that are in the process of melting.
