I spent too much time on Twitter. I take some solace that Elon spent too much money on it.
Clearly one of Trumpco is due for a camo-redesign contract, probably 2 billion dollars to make the 'slim-jim clutter' red suits so they don't stand out so egregiously in a convenience store.

I read that a new edition of the game 'Junta' just came out. One of the highlights of the game was -- ceremonially -- bombing the Presidential Palace at the outset of a coup. 1/

Regarding Platner, it'd be nice to be able to 'sit with' the lessons of Kubrik's Full Metal Jacket, and the way those lessons expresses something about the much smaller generation of veterans whose lives were shaped by combat in the 'Great War on Terror.' 19/

I do find it interesting that Susan Collins seems as 'concerned' about Platner's Nazi tattoos as Pete Hegseth's. 1/

Though the fact that Platner got his tattoo in Croatia is also significant, again because the military culture and the neo-nazi cesspool was shaped by the 3-way conflict between Serbs, Croats, and Bosnian Muslims. 3/

Lest there be any confusion, these ‘little green men’ happen to have been Russian, in the Crimean annexation.

Our FLGMs are ‘bigger boned.’

Accurate Energetic systems builds Claymores, Demolition Charges, other mines in a single facility. Basically it's a small defense plant.

From the culture they've forgotten:

My grandfather very much admired Gavin, though he served in the Pacific, so no direct experience with him.

Patton very much did not like Bill Mauldin.

I don’t know if you happen to remember Frank Stout & his paintings: this picture reminded me of his work

These folks don’t seem too revved up by their meeting. I feel for them.

Man, this is quite a picture…

Nb. one of the reasons that I find mention of Stonewall Jackson so irresistible is that I spent 6+ years of my career working to beat Patton/Jackson venerations out of aspiring O-4s...

"Ya know, there's this kind of nerdy looking guy that it's really important to read and understand..." 4/
