Is this a heron?

Easy to see from this side of the lake. Surprisingly well camouflaged from other side of lake.

We got out a bit late for a winter walk at a lake.
Yellow sunset in a light blue and cloudy sky which is dark and bright grey underlit with the yellow sun. Shiny silky reflection on water rippling behind contrasting dark silhouette of naturally untidy trees & bushes.
