First day of classes at UIS tomorrow. I get just as excited for the first day of school now as I did when I started kindergarten 38 (!!) years ago.🤓 ❤️

He's photographing (a portion of) his Christmas vinyl haul. So far his collection includes 50s jazz, 60s blues, 80s English pop, 90s metal, and modern hiphop. Now if I could only get him to appreciate Fleetwood Mac...

I won't get a tree until December (because there are rules!!) but The Big Green Head is ready for the season.

The only thing better than eating my grandmother’s chicken and cornbread dressing is how effing good each stage of the cooking process smells. (Side note: my cornbread gets better every year.)

Made a visit to the record store. They also sell mystery DVD bundles for $5. Look at this haul!!

13 years ago today was the hardest day. I'd had a gorgeous baby boy, but he was in the NICU and they were worried. I didn't get the time I'd wanted with him, to explore his tiny toes and fingers. I had to wait for all the tubes and needles to come out first. But, boy. Was this kid worth the wait.

Couldn't decide what to cook for the office potluck tomorrow, so I made everyone fall-themed goodie bags with treats, stickers, and toys. Maybe I should've been a kindergarten teacher. 🍁🎃
