There was a lot of mismanagement and ineffectiveness. Personally I was not happy with the way Covid was handled especially towards the end. He also signed off on giving out Covid funds as relief which were clawed back right after ppl returned to work. That left a lot of resentment.

I thought the same thing, what a legacy he’ll leave. That speech over the weekend alone has redefined his exit as prime minister. We still need a new leader though.

Exactly this. We need to put our political leanings aside and make sure we vote for whoever we’re sure won’t sell us out to the Americans. I love our southern neighbours immensely but I love my Canadian culture and way of life more.

Did you listen to poilievre’s speech? It was almost a line for line echo of Trudeaus but seemed…weaker? Like his heart wasn’t in it? I feel like he’ll say whatever he thinks we want to hear to get elected. I don’t trust that, or him.

It feels like a shift over the weekend with the tariff announcement. Most Canadians are unhappy with Trudeau but agreed his speech and response was in line with the public consensus. Poilievre back pedalled his pro trump leanings and gave a response that echoed Trudeaus but came off as insincere.
