Oh yes!

What if we were to focus on stories where people each do their part? Where heroism *isn't* stepping up to conquer the bad guy, but making daily changes in your life to build stronger chains? It's less dramatic in a way, yes, but when you take a step back ... That story could be truly awe inspiring.

So when the stories we tell ourselves are about Individual Heros making Great Changes, it's dispiriting and demoralizing. I can't do what the Guardians of the Galaxy can do. But -

Totally. Every culture has (and should have) the tension between individual and collective rights, and we've fallen straight off the cliff.
