Current situation, mid-January in Michigan and suddenly time for a new well. Wondering what all this sitting water will do to my recent fall-planted native ferns, thimbleweed, foam flower, sedges, alum root and other varieties. Any native plant afficionado have insight?

To my fellow native plant enthusiasts, I've started sowing some seeds for natural cold stratification outside here in the Michigan winter. It's a nice escape from the ills of the world, plus it gives me something to look forward to come springtime. Just sharing my progress 🙂
