Another saying my mom always used was “You’ll live till you get married.” This was often in response to a minor injury or if you were having a bad day. She was one of a kind.

My mom could be harsh, but in her harshness, I learned important lessons. “You need me
more than I need you.”

Absolutely bonkers sunrise in #Pittsburgh this morning. I couldn’t believe how vibrant the colors were and how they seemed to stretch to every single part of the sky. One of the best sunrises of the last year, hands down.

Ahh the comforting sounds of a wet productive cough while standing in the pharmacy as the only masked person. It doesn’t get any better than this. Am I right? 😷

In 2008-2009, I lived in Belfast NI. I went back to visit in 2012, and I took this photo in Dalkey Ireland. It was a gorgeous day.

Hard to believe that 15 years ago today my life got flipped turned upside down by a breast cancer diagnosis at the age of 29. Time is so strange.

Things never go back to the way they were. Some things are like lighting in a bottle, and you can’t recapture that feeling. Some things are horrible and should never be revisited. Either way, there is no going back- ever. I wish more people would accept that fact.
