Join us on our journey to bring the last Carrickfergus built ship 'Result' home as a heritage attraction & community events space. Built in 1893 to trade in the Irish Sea, 'Result' was also a First World War Q-Ship
Carrickfergus Shipyard at its height employed 150 men. This photograph was taken in 1885 to celebrate the remarkable move by owner Paul Rodgers from building wooden to iron ships in Carrickfergus - something few small scale shipbuilding businesses in the UK dared do.
