I’m confused as to why the hell the Democratic Party haven’t split into two by now?
Surely at this point @aoc.bsky.social @sanders.senate.gov & others should forms a new political party and use all the angry energy into actually pushing for real change and reform in the US.

Among the material devastation to everyday people, Senate Dems have now blown a hole in their ability to work with the House.
We had an agreed upon plan, House took immense risk, then Senate turned around midway and destroyed it w/ a fear-based, inexplicable abdication.
They own what happens next.

The Founders put ‘advice and consent’ in the Constitution for a reason. They wanted Senators to have oversight over Cabinet picks of a President to ensure that they were properly vetted. Winning an election 49.89%-48.24 doesn’t dispense with that constitutional responsibility.
